Job Description
Job Title: Data Center Technician (Multiple positions)
Location: Ashburn, VA Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for on-site support at the data center.
- Monitor the data center's environment, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally.
- Respond to alerts or emergencies promptly.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware.
- Handle tape rotation and other backup operations.
- Assist with equipment shipping and receiving.
- Document incidents and daily operations.
- Provide regular status updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a data center or related IT environment.
- Familiarity with server hardware and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to physically lift and move equipment, as needed.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings, if required.
