Job Description
Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Onsite 2 days a week- Pratt Street – Baltimore)
They will be open to remote EST candidates if their experience justifies it.
Contract: 06+ months Required Skills:
Strong backend Python development skills, experience with cloud infrastructures like AWS or Azure, and proficiency with Linux and database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server). The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, tackling complex problems with a focus on high-quality delivery. 4+ years of progressive software engineering experience, strong backend development in Python, cloud deployment experience, and a solid academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Experience in financial services, particularly in front office software development, and knowledge of financial instruments and capital markets. Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance cloud-based applications for the Fixed Income Front Office.
Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and Quants to deliver high-quality performance attribution analysis.
Engage in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirement gathering to delivery.
Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in modern web/cloud technologies.
Experience with n-tier architecture and native cloud-based applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex business, logic, data, and technical challenges.
